Key Made Locksmith Port St Lucie
Key made Locksmith Port St Lucie? Being a locksmith company that makes car keys we receive a ton of calls asking this question. We receive calls not only asking if we can make car keys but if we can make them without a copy of the car key itself and the answer is Yes we can. We are able to make keys for most makes and model vehicles.
There are a couple different ways our locksmith technicians are able to produce a duplicate key for a vehicle. The first and easiest way would be ordering the key code. Each vehicle key has its own specific key code. Locksmith technicians are able to order this code with the VIN number of your vehicle. Once they receive this key code they are able to input this code into their key cutting machine. The machine then knows what specific cuts to make onto the key blank. The second way is the technician would have to pick the ignition in order to read the key cuts. This way can be a little more difficult and more time consuming but can be more cost effective for the customer as the cost of ordering the key code can be pricey. Once the ignition is picked the technician would enter the key cuts into the key cutting machine so the cuts can be made on the key blank. After the key cuts are made on the key blank most vehicles require the key to then be programmed. Programming the key to your vehicle will allow this key to now work to start your car. If your key requires programming and is not programmed to your vehicle your engine will not start. Once the key is cut and programmed you now have your duplicate key and can be on your way. With every situation, there can be unforeseen set backs, but making a duplicate typically takes 10-15 minutes from technicians time of arrival.
